Working with Tabs

Tabs provide the outline and structure of your form. They contain rows, which group your form questions. You can add as many tabs as needed to group related questions/information within the same form. Each form has at least one tab even if your form is only one page long.

Tab Formats

How Do I

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the name of the form you want to update. The Form page appears.

4. Click Add Tab. The Add Tab window appears. Example

5. In the Tab Name field, enter an easily recognizable name of the tab.

6. If the tab should only be visible after the form has been submitted and is being edited in the Workflow portlet, select the Show in Edit Mode check box.

7. Click Save. The Add Tab window closes and the new tab is added to your form.

You can update the tab name or make it available in EX FormFlow - Workflow.

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the name of the form you want to update. The Form page appears.

4. Access the tab to be updated.

5. Right-click and select Properties. The Edit Tab window appears. Example

6. In the Tab Name field, update the tab name as needed.

7. To determine if the tab is only available to administrative users with edit permissions from Workflow, select or deselect the Show in Edit Mode check box.

8. Click Save. The Edit Tab window closes and the tab is renamed.

Tabs can be reordered using drag and drop.

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Hover over the tab to be moved until the cursor turns to crosshairs.

4. Click on the tab and hold.

5. Drag to position the tab in the desired order.

When you delete a tab from your form, you also delete any and all questions on that tab.

1. Log in to JICS as an Administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2. Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3. Click on the name of the form you want to update. The Form page appears.

4. Access the tab to be updated.

5. Right-click and select Delete. The delete confirmation window appears.

6. Click OK. Several things happen:

a. The delete confirmation window closes.

b. The tab and any related questions are deleted from your form.
