Dear Student,

Thank you for taking the time to consider the position of Resident Assistant.  The ministry and service that a Resident Assistant provides is invaluable to the formation and direction of our students and the community that is found at our Main Campus.

As a guide, peer, mentor, servant, and friend; the Resident Assistant is in a unique position to motivate and support young men and women in their pursuit of learning and holiness.  As a leader and authority in the hall, the Resident Assistant must demonstrate the character and capability that is expected of such a role model.

We encourage you to investigate the calling and commitment of being a Resident Assistant by speaking personally with those who have served the University community as Resident Assistants.  We ask you to pray about your decision to apply for the position, especially in light of 1 Timothy 4:12:

Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

If you feel so called, we invite and welcome your application for the position of Resident Assistant.

May the Lord bless and guide your discernment and your service to His Kingdom.  We look forward to being of service to you in the weeks ahead.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Matthew Schaefer
